IIT Bombay is located at Powai, a suburb in the North-Eastern part of Mumbai. Mumbai is a major metropolis and is well connected to the rest of the country and the world.
There are direct flights from all major international airports to Mumbai. International flights land at Terminal 2, Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Sahar Airport), which is about 10 kms from IIT Bombay. The Domestic Airport is at Terminal1A and Terminal1B (SantaCruz), which is about 15 kms. Call taxis and Pre-paid taxis and autorickshaws are available at the airports.
Airport Pick-up to conference hotels will be arranged for registered participants(if you inform us beforehand). This is included in the conference fees.

We will arrange for Shuttle buses to and from conference hotels and the conference venue (within a 3 km distance). Taxis for other hotels will be available on demand.

For those travelling by train, Mumbai's two main railway terminals - Mumbai Central and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (earlier called VT- Victoria Terminus) connect it to the rest of the country. Local suburban trains connect these main railway terminals to the rest of the city. In additions, taxis and buses are also available. Those coming by Central Railway Suburban train will have to get down at Kanjur Marg, Vikhroli or Ghatkopar which are the nearest stations from IIT Bombay. If you are coming by the Western Railway Suburban train you will have to get down at Andheri, Bandra, Goregaon or Malad.
