Who We Are
The Inter-disciplinary Programme in Educational Technology at IIT Bombay is actively involved in research and education in the area of technologies to promote the learning-teaching process.
The thrust areas of research of IDP-ET are:
i. Technology-enhanced learning environments for pan-domain cognitive abilities.
ii. Frameworks for teacher use of educational technology tools and strategies, and
iii. Development of AI & ICT based tools for teaching-learning goals.
In January, we ran the second version of ET4ET workshop "Pedagogy for Effective Engineering Education" under the T10KT programme. The workshop was attended by nearly 4500 college teachers from 148 Engineering colleges across India.
In June-July, we ran the first version of ET4ET workshop titled "Pedagogy for Effective Engineering Education" under the QEEE programme. The workshop was attended by over 1500 college teachers from 38 Engineering colleges in India.
In February 2013, we conducted the "Research Methods in Educational Technology", through which we mentored 9 Teacher Research Papers in IEEE Conference in Technology for Education (T4E), 2013 at IIT Kharagpur.
In June 2013, we conducted the "Effective Teaching Practices for Engineering Teachers for Quality Engineering Education" workshop under the Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) attended by 23 teachers from various parts of India.

Our faculty have been standing committee members of National level Projects and also Program chairs of several Internationally reputed conferences. The faculty are also part of several internationally reputed Educational Technology Research Journals.
